The 60 Ah battery is removable, allowing off-bike charging and future upgrade potential via Sur-Ron’s dealer network.
Is the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee road legal in the UK?
The Ultra Bee is available in both off-road and road-legal versions. The standard MX / off-road model is not legal for use on public roads — it’s designed for private land, MX tracks and dedicated off-road venues only.
However, Sur-Ron also offers a road-legal version, often called the Ultra Bee T (L3E). This model comes fully equipped with lights, indicators, mirrors, horn, number plate holder and a Certificate of Conformity.
According to Sur-Ron UK’s legal guidance:
“Only Sur-Ron models that meet the L1E or L3E classification can be registered for road use in the UK.”
So, if you plan to ride on public roads, make sure your dealer confirms that your bike has DVLA registration eligibility, valid insurance, and all required equipment fitted.
