DirectMX Limited Warranty
Applies to all new Sur-Ron motorcycles supplied by Direct MX Group Limited
About this warranty
The motorcycles supplied by Direct MX Group Limited (Direct MX) are parallel imports, sourced through international trade channels rather than the UK manufacturer pass-through scheme operated by Urban Moto Sports Limited. They are genuine, factory-built Sur-Ron units. They are not accompanied by the UK distributor warranty.
To give you the protection you would expect from any new motocross machine, Direct MX issues this Limited Warranty directly. It runs alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not replace them. Nothing in this document removes or reduces those rights.
This warranty is offered to the original purchaser only and is not transferable on resale.
Coverage period
This warranty runs for twelve months from the date of purchase.
During this period, Direct MX will supply replacement parts free of charge for any covered failure under clause 3. Labour to diagnose, fit and test those parts is charged at our standard workshop rate, published at directmx.shop.
Wear items are excluded as listed in clause 4. Battery cover is capped at the first twelve months of ownership.
The cost of all transport for warranty work is the responsibility of the customer at all times. This includes returning the motorcycle to Direct MX for inspection, any collection arranged by Direct MX on the customer's behalf, and the return of the motorcycle to the customer once repair is complete. Transport costs are not included in this warranty under any circumstances.

What is not covered
This warranty does not cover the items and circumstances set out below.
Wear items
Tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, brake discs, chains, sprockets, cables, grips, levers, footpegs, bearings, bushings, plastics, fork seals, shock seals, light bulbs and fuses are excluded as items subject to normal wear from use.
Damage from misuse
Use in competitive racing, organised events, hire and reward operation, off-road tuition, stunt riding, or jumping beyond the motorcycle's design tolerance. Damage caused by accident, collision, crash or impact. Damage caused by operating the motorcycle on public roads where the model is not a road-legal variant.
Damage from improper care
Pressure-washing or jet-washing. Submersion or water ingress through riding in standing water above the foot pegs. Storage in damp or corrosive environments. Failure to recharge the battery in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions. Failure to carry out the service schedule set out in clause 6.
Modifications
Failure of any component caused or contributed to by aftermarket parts, performance tuning, controller swaps, voltage increases, battery substitution, or any modification away from the factory specification supplied by Direct MX.
Indirect costs
Loss of use, recovery costs, hire of a replacement vehicle, lost earnings, or any other consequential loss arising from a warrantable failure.
Geographic limits

How to make a claim
If you believe your motorcycle has a fault covered by this warranty, follow the process below. Honesty and detail at the early stages make every claim faster.
Step one — Contact us
Email sales@directmx.shop within seven days of the fault appearing. Provide your full name, the chassis number (or VIN where applicable) of the motorcycle, the date of purchase, and a written description of the fault. Photographs and short video of the fault behaviour are strongly encouraged.
Step two — Initial diagnosis
A Direct MX technician will review the information and may ask follow-up questions. In most cases the fault can be assessed from the description alone. If we cannot confirm the cause remotely, you will be asked to return the motorcycle to us for inspection.
Step three — Return for inspection
Warranty work is carried out on a return-to-dealer basis. The cost of returning the motorcycle to Direct MX is the customer's responsibility. We can arrange collection through our nominated courier at a fixed cost on request, payable by the customer in all cases.
Step four — Repair
If the fault is confirmed as covered, Direct MX will repair or, at our discretion, replace the affected component. The motorcycle is then PDI-checked. The cost of returning the motorcycle to the customer once repair is complete is also the customer's responsibility and will be quoted in advance.
Step five — Outcome where not covered
If on inspection we determine the fault is not covered by this warranty, you will be contacted before any chargeable work begins. You may then choose to authorise the repair at standard workshop rates, or have the motorcycle returned to you uninspected at your cost.
Service requirements
To keep this warranty live, the motorcycle must be serviced at the intervals below. Services may be carried out by Direct MX or by any competent motorcycle technician with documented receipts and a written service record retained by the owner.
- First service: 185 miles (300 km) or 3 months, whichever comes first
- Second service: 620 miles (1,000 km) or 6 months
- Third service: 1,240 miles (2,000 km) or 12 months
- Fourth service onward: annually, or every 620 miles, whichever comes first
Direct MX offers the first service free of charge to all customers buying through us. Subsequent services are charged at standard workshop rates, published at directmx.shop.
Failure to service the motorcycle in line with this schedule may invalidate any warranty claim. Proof of service must be available on request.
Your statutory rights
This warranty is offered in addition to the rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in this document removes, reduces or replaces those rights.
If you believe the motorcycle was not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described at the point of sale, your statutory remedies apply regardless of the terms of this warranty.
