If someone in Britain says “a Sur-Ron”, they mean the Light Bee. We sell the 2025 one, the smaller Hyper Bee, and the Ultra Bee when you want a proper trail bike under you.
Which one
Have a think about how tall you are, and whether you fancy lifting it into a van on a Sunday night.
The Hyper Bee is the little one. Thirty-nine kilos, so you can pick it up, and the seat comes down to 665 mm. It suits a younger rider, or anyone who just wants the small bike. Flat out it’s about 34 mph. £2,295, down from £2,995.
The Light Bee X is the one the name means. The 2025 motor is a fair step on from the Light Bee people already know, the battery lifts out if you want a spare on charge, and it’ll see about 47 mph. Around six foot and up, you’ll feel a bit folded up on it. Still a laugh, just not the roomy one. £3,295, down from £3,995. The one we have in is green.
The Ultra Bee is a different Saturday. Big enough for a grown adult to feel at home, light next to a 300 two-stroke, and quick enough that you ride it with a bit of sense. Cycle News spent proper time on the 2025 HP and called it the sweet spot of the range: roomy, adjustable, and quiet enough that a track or a bit of private land will have you, where a two-stroke would clear the place. It is still 88.5 kg, so it goes in a van. £5,295, down from £5,995. Black or Desert Brown.
The Light Bee X

This is the bike that made electric dirt bikes normal over here. No clutch, no gears, a motor in the middle, and a throttle that gets on with it. Eco is the calm map. Sport is the lively one, and it gives you a bit of engine braking when you shut off.
For 2025 Sur-Ron widened the rear tyre and had another go at the suspension and brakes. The battery is a 40 Ah pack you can lift out and swap, which is how you get a second session in without standing about. They quote up to 75 km if you hold a steady 40 km/h. A motocross lap will drink it faster than that. There’s a fast charger in the box.
The Ultra Bee

People swing a leg over this expecting a stretched Light Bee. It’s a trail bike in its own right. More stable once you’re moving, happier in a straight line, and a proper handful if you ask it for everything.
The 2025 HP has a Turbo map on top of the normal ones. It’s a short burst, about ten seconds, and the riders at Cycle News preferred leaving it alone. The bike is already plenty quick, and a hit that disappears mid-corner helps nobody. Daily, Eco and Sport are the maps you’ll actually use. There’s a crawl setting and reverse, which sounds daft until you’re stuck in a rut.
The pack is the big 74 volt one. A charge from 20 percent to 80 takes about two and a half hours, and the battery comes out if you’ve bought a spare. Wheels are a 19-inch front and an 18-inch rear, so you’ve a sensible choice of tyres. We don’t sell an Ultra Bee T. Black and Desert Brown are the colours. These are the 2025 figures, from the bike in the shop.
A film, and a bike we are not selling
Sur-Ron UK put this out to show where the range is heading. Worth a watch. What you can order from us this week is still the 2025 Hyper Bee, Light Bee X and Ultra Bee, at the prices in the table.
The later bike in that story is the Ultra Bee HP 2026. Sur-Ron Europe lists it with a 24.5 kW motor, traction control, and a phone app, at €6,990. That’s their price. We haven’t made up a sterling figure for a bike we don’t have. The Ultra Bee here peaks at 21 kW and costs £5,295.
Where you can ride one
Important: the Hyper Bee, Light Bee X and Ultra Bee sold here are for off-road use only. They are not legal on the road.
In England and Wales that means private land, with the landowner’s say-so, or a track that allows electric bikes. Not the road, not a byway, not a bridleway, and not the pavement. Quiet doesn’t change whose land it is. Ask before you unload.
We’re at Unit 14, Emley Business Park, Leys Lane, Huddersfield. Weekdays are 10am to 4pm. Weekends are by appointment only. Delivery is £50.
