How we grade

The grade and the battery grade are separate. A listing shows both. The bike takes the lowest grade it qualifies for. A pack that has not been tested is marked untested.

Grade

Grade: Mint

Zero or near-zero signs of use, under 300 miles, all original parts, needs nothing.

Grade: Excellent

Tidy and well maintained, light marks only, nothing through to bare metal, consumables over half life, drivetrain and battery original.

Grade: Good

Used and looked after, scratches and scuffs from normal riding including light marks to bare metal, no cracked plastics, consumables over a third life.

Grade: Average

Scratches, scuffs and typical marks of use, plastics may be scratched or replaced, all core systems run safely, consumables may be part worn.

Grade: Fair

Runs and rides but needs consumables now or carries damage beyond marks, such as cracked plastics, worn paintwork, corrosion or a display fault.

Grade: Poor

Heavy use throughout, paint through to bare metal in several places, damaged decals, worn-out seat and grips, consumables at end of life, multiple non-safety faults likely, frame and steering sound.

Grade: Spares

Significant mechanical or electrical faults, frame or steering damage, leaks or missing parts, sold for spares or repair, not rideable.
